Selena Gomez has formed July Moon Productions and has partnered with XYZ Films to finance the development of two films for Sel to produce, reports Variety.The Deal is comparable to a first-look studio deal that allows Gomez to option articles, hire screenwriters and tie additional talent to packages that can then be shopped to studios.
As part of the July Moon-XYZ deal, Gomez will have the ability to cherry-pick projects from the vast Time Inc. library, which includes Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune and Life.

I, personally, love Selena Gomez, but I don't think this is a smart move for her. I agree with others, she is 16 years old, she doesn't even have her permit, what does she know about making movies or shows? Although I do wish the best for her because I would like to see her succeed in anything and everything she does, I don't think this will make it. She is trying to get in over herself, she is an actress and a singer, I think she should leave it at that until she is at least in her late twenties.
