Connor Paolo Rejects Gossip Role
Connor Paolo, who plays Eric van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, has rejected an offer from the show to become a series regular, according to EW. While Connor is reportedly 'totally comfortable playing a gay character,' he prefers to be a free agent and not have to film all 25 episodes this season.
A TV Agent explained, 'He probably didn't want to commit to being ninth fiddle on a show. Sure, he'll make less money, but he's free to accept other opportunities in TV and film should they come along. It's not a bad move if you have aspirations to do other things.' i want him to be a regular hes an awesome actor and i love when hes on the show
Ehh. i love who his character is, but it's really dumb how they made him gay. Nothing against gays, but if you read the book, he's actually played off as the cool player of the story, and as the guy who has Serena's back all the time. I'd be much happier if he could kind of flirt around with girls more, so that the story would be much more real.
