The last comment was really thoughtful. Nick's voice is still evolving, and it may be too early too tell what kind of a solo career he will have. However, he's started to prove himself as an able songwriter, not just for JB, but helping other artists like Demi.
I actually think that Nick truly believes what Elvis Costello told him: that he won't be happy to just be a famous pop artist and eventually fade into oblivion. He's in it for the music, and everything else are just extras. I think the JB's have been successful so far slowly transitioning into a more adult audience, and whether the band lasts long-term or not, Nick has the potential to become one of the greater singers of all time. Of course, a lot of other people have potential too, and it is still too early to tell.
