Taylor Lautner VS Michael Copon JACOB BLACK New Moon Battle
Since Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke was replaced Chris Weitz, suspicion that Taylor Lautner will be replaced for his role of Jacob Black has grown.
MTV News confirmed that Michael Copon is one of several actors Weitz is considering to play the new, larger Jacob.
A representative for Copon revealed that they're making a full effort to land the role. Michael recently updated his Facebook status with: 'Michael Copon in a Twilight Zone!' and 'Michael Copon is the older Jacob Black!'
A rep told MTV, 'The casting decision in regards to the character Jacob Black has yet to be made.' Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian actor Ben Barnes is also believed to be campaigning for the role of Aro, a mind-reading vampire whose encounter with Edward and Bella helps shape their destiny. Fame.

First of all, they're almost identical. Same widows peak, same eyebrows, same eyes, same nose; the only difference is the jaws. Basically Michael looks like an older version of Taylor. Actually there is a lot of the population that won't go see New Moon because of how horrible Twilight was. Jacob is much much taller and looks way older in New Moon. he just doesnt have the maturity and acting skills to play jacob when hes being intimidating and a werewolf. im not saying that micheal copon is the best replacement for jacob but keeping taylor just wouldnt work. the switch would definitely be weird at first but people will eventually get over it. and for all the people who are saying they wont see New Moon if taylor isnt in it, stop lying because we all know that everyone is really curious to see how the movie turns out.
they look alot alike, and in the book it says he gets a crazy growth spert and looses some of his baby face, and thats exactly what it looks like with the contrast between the two of them.
I love taylor, and its sad he doesnt get to do the movie, but the director and producers are trying to do a good job, and the reality of it, is that taylor still looks like a baby, and throughout new moon its all about how hes growing and becoming a man, and then a werewolf, taylor would not be able to pull it off.
I think they should bring taylor in in the begining and then later bring in micheal copon, cause then it will really demonstrate his growth, and taylors not left completely in the dark.

i was thinking the exact same thing. it would make way more sense to have them both in it because it would be a more realistic way to show the change that jacob goes through. plus its not like micheal doesnt look anything like taylor.

First of all, I highly doubt Summit or Weitz is going to care about the opinions of petty pre-teen girls, they care about making as much money as they can.
