to California and that's just who I wanted to meet. So I was

started like sweating. I could not believe that I was meeting her. She
told me that I was very cute. And I lost it, I was so excited.'
On displaying a new persona in movies: 'I can no longer do Lucy in I Am Sam. You have to grow up and I am
doing it through films. Most people haven't seen me maybe as grown up
as they will in Push. But eventually I'm probably going to play the
person that you hate. I think that's the fun part about acting.'
What is something you want that you don't have? 'I guess it would the simple things. I've always had curly hair and I wanted straight hair, the way it looks today, thanks to the hairdresser. But who knows, maybe if I'd been born
with straight hair, I'd want my hair to be curly.You did The Secret Life of Bees which dealt with racial segregation. Did you think about that when Barack Obama was elected? 'One of the key moments in that movie is when Jennifer Hudson gets beat up for wanting to register to vote.
And now we have an African-American president. He inspires me. I think he is a really an inspirational human being. I just love to listen to him give speeches.

she is gorgeous, has a great body, is well- mannered and is one of the best child actresses to hit the big screen in a very long time.
hmm...i dunno. they're usually open to Disney/ Nickolodeon stars or anyone else who's audience is the tweens. dakota has a large fan base ranging from tweens to the elderly.
and i for one don't think she should be compared to miley/ demi/ selena/ etc, because she is in a completely different league to them. im not trying to offend anyone, but they are more entertaners while she is a serious actress. i doubt she'll be dropping an album soon, going on tour or having a tv show...
when she does, then it'll be ok to add her to the arguments.

she is a real actor not just a disney kid.
dont think im crazy, but i actually think britney is a good role model, yes even now. she showed everyone that no matter how much you mess up, no matter how low you hit, you can bounce back. she didnt just give up, she turned her life around. that shows real strength and courage

I loved "I Am Sam," and she was a great actress even at such a young age. And well, still is. I hope she keeps it up, and doesn't screw up her life like other child stars have. Not to be mean, but some seriously just messed up.

Britney used to be my idol, also. I still love her, but i am disapointed how she has done some very bad thing. I am from hong kong and I grew up listening to her and my parent then did not like it that she was a "whore" how u say? so ya. and so sorrie for my english :)
When Dakota first came to CA Britney was probably still the 16 year old/non controversial teen singer to most people. (Not to mention 6 year olds usually see celebrities without the skanky image stuff.) Kinda crazy how different her image is now...no judgement on Britney the person, it's just weird to think about the difference.

Dakota's parent have straightened both Elle's and her hair since she was 5/6 years old. She does it mostly every day of her life, even when with friends and not having the press there. I find it odd.
