Miley Cyrus OSCAR RIP OFF DRESS?
E! Online explored whether Miley Cyrus' Oscar dress was a rip off of an iconic Dior gown from 1949 called the Junon. Fashion designer Nick Verroes: 'You could argue that it isn't [a ripoff], because the original gown is strapless. But I was surprised at just how similar the beading and shaping of the skirt was.
If it was just a train, or just the back..'
In the past, designers have sued each other, but only when one used an exact pattern or print copyrighted by another. Zuhair Murad, who created Miley's gown, did not call out the similarities between Murad's gown and the Junon.
A publicist for Murad said, 'Zuhair is aware of the similarity of this gown. He is constantly inspired by Christian Dior, and this gown, in particular, re-creates the look of the Dior gown using today's technology.' Thx David!

i did a HUGE paper on Dior, and these dress was a HUGE part of it. When i first saw her in it, i thought she was wearing an updated version of the dress. but then i heard her saw who made it, and knew they had copied Dior. a lot of zuhair murad stuff IS an expression of Christian Dior's originals (look at his diamonds are forever collection). But this is too much of a copy. The style of the skirt is very much identical. Yes. The top is different. But there too much alike for it to be uncalled for. I think the Dior group should say something, because I wouldn't be surprised if a law suit came Zuhair Murad's way. To all of the people complaining about Miley fans being "bitches" and "12 year olds" and "pre-pubescent",
you only have yourselves to blame.
Every defensive Miley Cyrus fan was molded in the imagine of a vicious hater or hate comment that pushed them to defend her back with a sometimes ruthless agression. The more hateful the verbal attacks and insults, the more Miley fans stick up for her. It is true for JB fans, Sel fans, and Demi fans too. Their most defensive fans were molded that way too.
In Miley's case though, Perez Hilton and OceanUp helped in securing a population of MiCy fan's that defend her with tenacity and an unwaivered defiance to speak out against the hating.
By the way Miley and Mandy Show fans, their 1 year You Tube anniversay is 2nite. Maybe they will post their anniversary video. I dunno, keep checking You Tube.

Well haters are always bagging on Milez about being a bad role model. Have you ever stopped to think that when you post on this site saying nasty things, you are being someone else's role model? For good or bad, that is life. Haters breed haters and lovers breeds lovers. It is a 2 way door that swings back and forth.
Also, I seriously cannot stand the JB, BUT I can tell you with 1000% accuracy that even though I have met some fans of theirs that are just rude, mean, nasty, and vindictive, they in no way feed into my dislike of the JB. Being inspired and being a copy cat are two different things. The dress is exactly the same, the only difference is the straps on the second dress. I'm not a huge fan of the dress, the bottom bothers me a bit but I think she looks good in it.
And to anyone saying the dress is too low or anything like that, come on! Look at any other 16 year old and they're dressing 10x worse. It's obvious she's trying to steer away from her squeaky clean Hannah Montana image so let her do it, it's called growing up.
