Exactly, Pop, Rock, and Country. Her voice is just way too unique to classify it, I mean, Demi probably can't sing country, Taylor can't sing Pop, Selena can't sing Rock but I love them all and I think they have great talent. Miley is just so damn different though and not to mention she has incredible stage presence, I don't care how edited she sounds in her albums (even though for the Concert for Hope she sounded amazing and not that different from the album) but she knows how to capture the audience when performing.

Ditto. I really love Taylor Swift, but her voice lacks textures and tones. It's good, it's pretty, it's sweet, but it's very one dimensional. Demi is great at pop, but I haven't heard anything in her voice that suggests she could do other stuff, which is fine. You don't have to be good at everything. Miley just appeals to me the most because her voice is layered and has all these cool parts to it. Her tone is beautiful on The Climb and Butterfly Fly Away. It's a whole lot of fun on the faster songs, and if I may, it can be sound right sensual on songs like Bottom of the Ocean and See You Again.

It's cool that her work is being associated with the Oscars and GG and stuff though, it shows that she is branching out. I'm sure JB fans were so proud when they got the nomination for the Grammy's, but it's really great when you think about how Disney stars never really get recognized for their work. I thought both girls were terrific for the most part, and their chemistry was fantastic.

In between deadlines (ok, in between making their lunch and futzing around on topshop.com) I joined them for a while ... and then a little while longer ... and then ALRIGHT, I watched five in a row. And it was a REVEALATION to me - for I realised that this is the funniest sit-com around by a mile at the moment - the kind of show you can watch for hour after hour, in a way that I don't remember since the heyday of Friends.
I can't think what it doesn't have. The basic premise, for those who've never watched it, is that there is a normal teenage schoolgirl, Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus), who is secretly the pop star Hannah Montana. Her mother is dead, and she lives with her father, Robbie Ray (played by Billy Ray Cyrus. Yes. BILLY RAY CYRUS. You see, there's half the pleasure right there. It's the Achey Breaky Heart Man, and Miley Cyrus is his ACTUAL DAUGHTER IN REAL LIFE. In his early nineties, Achey Breaky incarnation, Billie Ray Cyrus was, of course, one of the most hilarious one-hit wonders who ever lived: his hair alone - the most vicious, jet-black mullet in existence - made him a legend, but in a bad way. That's legal! Not wrong after all! They can't have me for it.
And it's not like the ass ends at Earles. Ladies - Billy Ray Cyrus is hot now. Indeed, hawt - and there's one less sentence on my List Of Things I Never Thought I'd Say. He's got a shaggy, California beach-do thing going on, and the laidback air of a Tennessee gentleman, and he's proving - in the scripts, anyway - to be a wonderful father to two teenage children. Well, one teenage, and one 32-year-old that it's not wrong for anyone to fancy, so help me God.
And as if sex wasn't enough, the show gets guest start like Dolly Parton, Brooke Shields and Larry David (David's cameo was in a restaurant with his kids, queueing for a table. David child one: "If we were with Uncle Jerry, he'd get us a table like that."). There's this recurring character called Rico - an abnormally small, 10-year-old millionaire Hispanic meglomaniac, who - rarely for a child character - basically plays the Evil Vizier in every pantomime you've ever seen. And Miley/Hannah herself is a great role-model for pre-teen girls: casually dressed, kind-hearted, confident. She's got the limo out front, you see. Hot styles, every shoe, every colour. Being famous can be kind of fun - it's really you, but no-one ever discovers. Who ever thought that a girl like her, could get to be a superstar? She gets the best of both world - chill it out, take it slow, and then you rock out the show.

Really, Disney have shot themselves in the foot with Hannah Montana. Because of their stubborn instance of broadcasting their shows exclusively on their channel, Hannah Montana is available only to families with cable or Sky. If Disney had sold it into a Friday, 8pm slot on Channel 4, it would be massive in this country. Twenty-something women in bars across Britain would be screaming for Jason Earles and Billy Ray Cyrus. As it is, however, only the mothers of girls between 6-12 know about it.

i get maybe you don't want miley and taylor to be friends (although thats rather immature) but continuing to spread something that has already been proven to be false is kind of getting lame. spreading things on the internet isn't going to change reality, so why even bother. unless your attempt is to make taylor lose fans. but even then taylors fans are older then mileys, they're not exactly as fickle as the typical young teenage fan. just a thought before you perpetuate this nonexistant feud. i'll never get why fans do that.

the CMA's already passed in November. They mean the ACM'S(Academy of Country Music Awards). I am so excited for them...I am a huge coutry fan and I love "The Climb"....just another reason to watch:). Taylor Swift is also performing :)
