To be honest, that was a fairly close-minded and ignorant remark. He is NOT asking them to stop looking for a cure for Cancer, I wasn't aware that we could only fund ONE thing at a time. The government couldn't care less about finding a cure to diabetes, hence then needing of more money. If this is true or not is another question. I understand that diabetes is a serious disease, but there are many other diseases that barely get recognized or receive any federal funding. I just don't think it's right that all these teens have only become aware of diabetes because of Nick Jonas. Don't twist my words, he's doing a good deed. Well if he wants the Fed to throw all their money towards research for a managable disease that people have the ability to live with then there won't be any left for health defects such as cancer, luekemai and heart failures. These are the defects which fatal and cannot be managed like diabetes. He should only be thankful that the health service has made diabetes so much more versatile to live with than it was 20 years ago what with the advanced tech providing better gadgets. Not only that but america being the most stable nation at the time should take more responsibility for people suffering from defiecencies in poverty struck countries such as Africa, Asia and South America. Frankly i think this 'testify' is being commited so that it can look good on his record whilst he attempts to run for presidency in the bleak future mainly relying on the vote of now former female fans now in their 40s.

I saw some comments saying about cancer and stuff but heres the deal theres a cure to cancer dont smoke in the first place or if you do have check up every few months.

But diabetes so far theres no cure nothing at all, all sufferers like Nick can do about is it learn to live with it and just well try and get over it. But seriously would like to have to count your calorie intake and check your blood sugar 12 times a day. Hmm I think not and what if your afraid of needles and you have to prick yourself 12 times a day not pleasant. So seriously I understand his stress, I know that he say it doesn't slow him down anymore and now it just inspires him. But if there was a cure he would have never been slowed down in the first place so support him please...

To anonymous who said she suffers from diabetes and thinks this is all about publicity. You obviously don't have diabetes. If you did, you would know that just about anyone with diabetes would be willing to testify and tell their story in hopes of funding for a cure. Many young people every year become advocates for the cause even if they do it on the local level rather than the national level. Not only do the actual diabetics get involved but our families do to. This has nothing to do with publicity for himself. This is using his name to try and bring something good to other people.

Dont get me wrong, I was so Anti-Nick last year, seriously he was the bigges asshole, I wanted to just go up and slap him, but now I am so Niley that it's not even funny. I read Miley's book, I listened her Breakout album, I cried listening to Goodbye, and I knew that no one could ever make Miley as happy as Nick did. You are probably too young to be on this website. Just because you don't smoke, you can still get cancer. Ok it has nothing to do with smoking. You can get cancer from smoking but there is different kinds. Not all deal with smoking. You can be smoke free but get skin cancer because you stay in the sun too long and don't wear sun screen.
