Robert Pattinson was hit by a taxi in New York City as he tried to run away from a crowd of hysterical teenage fans, US media reported: 'Rob was clipped on the hip in front a bookstore in Manhattan where he was shooting scenes on..
..Thursday for his new film 'Remember Me' a drama about two young lovers dealing with family tragedies.
He tried to run past a group of teenage girls who had gathered outside the bookstore and cross the street to his trailer when the accident happened.
He wasn't seriously injured, but his bodyguards were angry, according to Radar. One of the bodyguards yelled at the girls: 'You see what you did, you almost killed him!'

I don't think the taxi driver should be to blame because obiviously if someone runs out into the street in front of a crapload of traffic, the driver isnt going to be able to think that quickly to make the right decision. If he stop right then and there they'll be a huuuge pileup & tons of people will get hurt, if he doesn't stop, someone else will get very hurt.

He wasn't hit by a taxi he was clipped by a taxi and he wasn't running from fans. Summit Entertainment put out a release saying that the report about him being hit by a taxi while running from fans was false. I don't know excatly what he was doing but he was clipped not hit.
