My name is Yelena Korshak and I am 16 years old. Why do I want to be on the Red Carpet was a question that shocked me at first, because I thought to myself what teen wouldn’t want to be? Watching the Teen Choice Awards since 1999, has gave me significant memories such as jumping up and down ecstatically for hours after watching somebody I voted for win, or sobbing my eyes out and going insane after that somebody lost. These special times shared with friends and family push me harder into wanting to experience this opportunity more and more. Just imagining me photographing Shenae Grimes, who is one of my favorite actresses, or Miley Cyrus who is definitely a huge idol just seems very surreal to me. Going to high school in New York, I see friends of mine win contests, huge getaways, and challenges, and I always wanted to have that feeling of excitement after winning one myself. If chosen this really would be a dream come true, filled with forever lasting memories, lots of fun, and an experience of a lifetime!
