Are you deaf? Selena sounds way better than Emily. I mean, both of their voices are average and mediocre. but while Emily's voice is incredibly high-pitched, squeaky and chipmunk-ish, Selena's voice is more mellowy, but has that raspy edge to it. Face it, Selena is the better singer. Emily's voice sucks.

A 53-year-old US man who told police he is secretly engaged to marry 16-year-old Miley Cyrus has been charged with attempting to stalk the teenage Hannah Montana star, who is filming a movie in Georgia.

Tybee Island Police Chief Jim Price said that Mark McLeod was arrested after Walt Disney Pictures security officers reported he had returned to the beachside movie set on Sunday after police warned him to stay away in June.

"He was asking for Miley and going up and knocking on some doors" of beach homes near the set, Price said.

"The security guards recognised him. In fact, he went up to the security guards and asked them 'Is Miley around'?"

Wearing a yellow tank top and denim shorts so droopy that a deputy had to hold them up in back, McLeod appeared briefly before a Municipal Court judge at the Chatham County jail on Wednesday afternoon.

Judge Steven Scheer set bail for McLeod at $US50,000 ($59,242), with conditions that he doesn't return to Tybee Island except for court appearances and he stays away from Cyrus and her family.

Police on Tybee Island, east of Savannah, have been on the lookout for McLeod since he was arrested there June 22 on misdemeanour charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction of a police officer.

Officer Warren Millikan wrote in his June report that McLeod claimed he'd met Cyrus 18 months earlier, that he'd sent her diamond rings and other gifts and that she had accepted his marriage proposal.

McLeod was released from jail in June after signing papers agreeing to return for a court appearance September 1.

Price said police obtained a warrant to charge him with criminal attempted stalking, a misdemeanour, after he came back to the island on Sunday.

No. Why do all Disney stars think they have to sing? It's weird enough to go into Wal-Mart in the CD section and see Mitchel Musso's face there. I thought Emily had a good chance of being considered a serious actress, but that's kinda all down the drain if she's like everyone else and makes an album full of songs I'll never listen to. Don't get me wrong, I love Emily, and if she's having fun then so be it. If this is what she loves doing then great, but I thought I remembered her saying a few years back that she was NEVER going to make an album.
