Why are reality stars so popular? I mean, they have no talent, they're completely useless.
Back in the 40's, 50's etc., everyone worked hard to earn a title of an actor, actress, dancer and so on. Nowadays it's easier for worthless people, like Heidi Montag or the Kardashians get famous, which is really annoying.

I think that he's right. Hollywood use to be the pinnacle of movies and STARS. Disney and Nick celebrities could be stars but they aren't. Their craft is too under developed and they have not shown their full potential yet. How can you give some the status of a "star" when they haven't proven themselves worthy? Do they have a star on the walk of fame? No, they don't because unlike many REAL stars they haven't put in half the work as those people. I'm not saying that Disney and Nick kids can't act or sing, I'm saying that they are not what Hollywood USE to be about. Disney and Nick put too much hype into their moneymakers so they you see them and love them so that they make money.

Umm...I'm not 12. Actually I'm in my 20's and have several friends who LOVE the Jonas Brothers. I don't enjoy the JONAS music because that is geared for 9-14 year olds. But I do love their current album. You can't see them LIVE and say they have no talent.

The Jonas Brothers have over 36 platinum and gold certifications worldwide, they are currently the #1 Touring Band in the world. Check that on Billboard. They are hugely successful. I think we will continue to see them...or perhaps just Nick Jonas...continue on as a musician/entertainer long after they grow out of Disney. But Disney is a great starting block for many of these kids.

As far as Disney goes, they search out talent. The big stars from Disney...Miley, Jonas, Selena, Demi were already actors and/or singers previously. The Jonas Brothers were on Broadway, commercials and already signed by Columbia records before they signed with Disney, Selena was on Barney and other TV shows and commercials before Disney...etc.
