VH1 will be airing a TV special on November 19, 2009 at 8 PM called Top 20 Celebrities Gone Good. With the help of DoSomething.org, VH1 will examine lists of hundreds of philanthropic stars from data compiled by established research institutions, and then narrow the list down to the 20 celebrities that have had the most charitable impact.
By going to CelebsGoneGood.com, fans can vote for their favorite star to help determine 2009's Top 20 Celebs Gone Good from a list of 100 celebrities known for their charity work. Houston Children’s Charity will reap the benefits of an exclusive Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana auction item.
The Houston Children’s Charity 12th Annual Gala may not take place until October 25, but this week witnesses the online auction of the Charity’s star item: a package for the ultimate fan of teen superstar Miley Cyrus and her television alter-ego, “Hannah Montana.”
The package includes four VIP tickets to a taping of “Hannah Montana”; a meet and greet with the cast; four round-trip tickets on American Airlines; two deluxe hotel rooms for two nights at the Universal Sheraton; a “rock star guitar purse” used by Miley Cyrus on set bearing her autograph; and autographed and framed photos of Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, and the “Hannah Montana” cast.
The auction closes on Friday, August 15. As is to be expected, deep pockets are required to secure this package – the current bid of $25,000 was placed by Texas interior designer Sherri Zucker.
Houston Children’s Charity is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Greater Houston’s underprivileged, abused, and handicapped children who have been otherwise left behind. The fall gala is one of three annual fundraising events.

Miley Cyrus fans have a chance to be her “roadie for a day.” The popular “Hannah Montana” star is auctioning off that honor as well as outfits she’s worn at premieres, on movie sets and for the cover of US Weekly’s Power Girls cover.
All of the proceeds will benefit her family charity, The Pappy Cyrus Foundation, named after her grandfather. The foundation supports children’s causes and programs.
The charity auction on ebay starts tonight at 7pm ET and runs though August 13th at www.ebay.com/miley .
The actor-singer-author has been busy. She just wrapped up filming on “The Last Song” and her 45 city tour starts September 14th in Portland Oregon.

The pop princess is donating $1 of every ticket sold for her current Wonder World concert tour to the City of Hope.
The tour brings her to Omaha on Friday night and has 30 more stops before ending December 2nd in Miami.
Her last tour raised more than $2 million for the City of Hope, a Southern California medical institution that specializes in fighting cancer. All the money she raises goes toward research, treatment and education programs.
Cyrus visited the City of Hope's pediatric cancer patients with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and performed at its annual pediatric picnic in 2007.

Miley Cyrus of Hannah Montana fame has signed a guitar to raise money for a babies charity.
The acoustic Ibanez is up for auction on ebay, and 100% of the proceeds will go to March for Dimes. The leading non-profit organization for pregnancy and baby health aims to prevent birth defects, premature births and infant mortality through education and health programs.
The March for Dimes charity guitar signed by Miley Cyrus is open for bids, and the winner will be helping to give babies a healthy start.

Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, Mischa Barton and Vanessa Hudgens are among a host of female celebrities who have designed T-shirts for their favorite charities. The ladies have all created her own ‘Spread the Love’ T-shirt with designers at Los Angeles based fashion line 2 Love, which will be sold at $50 each.
A portion of the shirts’ proceeds will be donated to the star’s chosen cause - Cyrus’ design will benefit the 1736 Family Crisis Center, while profits from Alba’s creation will go to help the StepUp Women’s Network.
And Alba revelled in the task.
She says, “I had a blast being creative and designing this tee shirt, and I know whenever I see these tees on women, I’ll be reminded to ‘Spread the Love’!”
Actress Alyssa Milano has also put her creative talents on display for the charity drive, and she is donating her T-shirt’s proceeds to the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) - of which she is an ambassador.
She tells People.com, “I love the idea behind 2 Love clothing. It is fun to mix fashion and charity. The cute tank makes a statement, and helps Unicef increase public awareness of the challenges facing the world’s children and create positive change around the globe.”

Before taking the stage in Washington D.c. on Sunday, the star paid a visit to the Georgetown University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital which was set up by the Tracy’s Kids charity.
Miley met around 100 parents and their children, and happily posed for pictures and signed autographs for all of the ill youngsters.

Miley Cyrus visited kids in poor Clay County, Kentucky, to shoot a short documentary in support of Save The Children, PEOPLE reports.
“My parents are from Kentucky, so I’ve seen that my whole life, but I never got to go there and actually show the world what’s there,” Cyrus, told reporters. “Some people are just like, ‘It’s America — that doesn’t exist.’ But it does exist here. And that’s something that gets overlooked.”
“There’s things you can do right here. If you go to Downtown L.A., you’re going to see [poverty]. So, you don’t have to travel all around the world, you can do it in your own town.”
“There is so many kids out there I met,” she says, “that were just walking around alone. I know they would love to have friends there, and have people coming and just bring hope.”

It was the special secret surprise of the weekend. Pop-tween-princess, Miley Cyrus wanted to do something special for sick kids while she was in Vegas for her three sold-out Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus “Best of Both Worlds” concerts at the MGM Grand.
She took time off before her last show on Sunday afternoon and visited with kids at Nevada’s only dedicated children’s hospital.
Luxe Life just obtained the photos of her trip there to cheer up the children. She posed for photographs with all of them and also signed autographs.
During Miley’s visit to the Sunrise Children’s Hospital she met up with Brooke Alexander, wearing a pink striped shirt with pink fuzzy hat; young Tamera Matthew in a red sweat suit; and standing there in his hospital PJ’s and red socks is Ryan Juring.
