I'm pretty sure the reason why they don't want to talk about it, is because people LIKE the interviewer don't know when to quit. The media went NUTS talking about their purity rings and making jokes. Making fun of them at award shows, comedy shows, talk shows. At a certain point, you're gonna say "enough is enough". I'm pretty sure the interviewer knows why they wear the rings.
