She deserves it! I love the boys in the entertainer of the year catagory but she's done the most & the CMA's are voted on by people in the business (even artists) that are members. So they obviously feel she deseved it as well! :) Hate on her all you want or disagree with your own opinions but the girl is definetely entertaining the masses by selling out concerts, rocking SNL and dominating in the charts & record sales.
I am SO proud of her! I loved her performances :)
I was so excited when I saw her win her awards! And you could see that her parents were incredibly proud because she won entertainer of the year :)

Well, "The Academy" seems to think that she deserved it. & while it is very shocking that she won Entertainer of the year against Brad Paisley and Keith Urban (I will admit, I was proud but shocked), she still worked hard for it, so she does deserve it.

i kinda have to agree with that and before all the taylor swift fan jump on me let me state my case.
the fact that the academy is acknowledging taylor music as country over other people is a dismissing what country music really is. country music shouldn't be pop music in disguise. you should be able to tell the different between a pop song and a country song. by giving her the award it almost like the end of an era, showing that the country past of the past is gone.
the difference between the new country music and the old country music is the same difference between rap and hip-hop to soul and blues. they may have the same roots but we're talking about about two very different styles. new country just doesn't have a new name yet.
you can disagree with me but for those who watch the show you can't dismiss the fact that next to george strait and even newbies like miranda lambert performances, taylor seems like just a pop singer.
