Sorry. I'm sure she's a really sweet girl and all but I still think she can't sing. And the only reason she is getting these record deals is her fame. She has fame thanks to her tv show. Her target audience is too young to know the difference between someone with a good singing voice but lacking fame and Selena who has the fame but not the voice. She'll still make a ton of $$$$$ because that's how it is in show biz! It's very sad and unfair to those with real talent.

she made such a huge deal out of naming them and yet they are not even singed to the label? the keyboardist is in another band and they have not be at one cd signing?

scenery, that funny. honestly there no difference between her band from, miley's band, tayor's band, demi's band, or the jonas brothers's band. they get as much fame and attention and they have no say in the album making process. maybe she did want to be in a band in the beginning but if you let them play such a little part then there really no point in it at all.

agree, we weren't saying selena a slut or she ugly. we didn't even say selena singing break windows. we were just stating our opinion. if you don't agree, that fine but there no need to be rude. this isn't a selena fan site, if you want people that are always gonna agree with you, go there.

Taylor Swift(whom I now adore. Platinum Fearless kicks ass) is someone who has subpar vocals(don't kill me) but she makes up for it with her passion and song writing skills. People give her shit but at the end of the day I doubt too many question her place in the music industry. She's earnest and passionate about what she does. For Selena, that doesn't come off. It just seems like a little girl holding her hairbrush and singing into her bathroom mirror.

She doesn't have any posts so I'm just gonna say it here. I finally get Taylor Swift. Before I just kind of liked her songs and thought she was pretty but I listened to her album in full and I get it. What she lacks in vocals(and she does lack), she makes up for in passion, song writing, and pure earnestness. I get it now. Selena, makes it up in nothing.

Erm, i'm not gonna critiscise US artists as you have a lot of great music, BUT europe and especially the UK have a much broader taste in music than the US. alternative music is HUGE here in the UK, whereas US music is mostly pop, rock and r'n'b. So I wouldn't really call our artists shit, remember how many UK artists won grammy's last year?

i have to agree. Taylor is not the most talented singer, and her music is VERY basic, but her songs are very honest and relatable. The fact they are so simple makes them easy to listen to, but even so i am still shocked at how successful she has become.
