From Catherine: Yesterday my friends and I went to see Nick in the matinee of Les Mis, he was AMAZING! His voice has matured SO much! After the show we went to meet him by the stage door, but he didn't stay to take pictures, he got in the car and went to have something to eat, and in the car was Joe!
We asked Joe for a picture, but Big Rob was like, 'no sorry, he needs to eat.' We ended up seeing them outside the side door of the restaurant. Joe was so funny and Nick was talking to us about the show, we got hugs & autographs.
I really wanna see a video of Nick talking since his voice has 'matured a lot since Les Mis'.

Definitely. :) I was a bit apprehensive about Nick taking the role of Marius. I initially anticipated that he's singing/pop voice won't be enough for a musical (particularly for Les Miz - the songs are very very difficult to sing). But he's changed it up a lot, and I'm really impressed with the videos. Really looking forward to seeing him live now. :)

Same. I was really skeptical at first about him playing Marius. But damn that first song I heard him sing which was In My Life/A Heart Full of Love I knew he made a great Marius. And it's been a while since someone could make me cry watching them perform A Little Fall of Rain. Nick and Samantha did incredible there.

No, just sometimes they need a break, and Big Rob knows that.
As much as I'd love to meet them, I wouldn't bother them if I had seen them having some down time or being mobbed haha.

I wish the fans would leave them alone for just a minute. He only has a short break in between the matinee and the evening show. Nick is diabetic and it is important that he eats etc. He cannot just skip a meal.
I worry that he is doing too much, but I always worry about that. He is so driven.
During rehearsals Nick stayed and signed every day for the fans. He was there for over an hour every single day, even in the rain. But on a show day he does one 3 hour show (well 2 hrs & 50 min) and then has a break to shower, do interviews, meet a few people back stage, eat and then another 3 hour show.
The show is emotional, physical...so it is draining. It's hot under the costumes and lights. Fans need to respect that he can't stop every time for pictures and autographs. He has to take care of himself.

I was honestly so so surprised when I heard In My Life/A Heart Full of Love. I didn't think Nick will be able to pull it off. I did dislike some JB fans rubbing it in though. Fans have every right to be skeptical. Particularly, for me - it's my favourite muscial. & all the previous Marius' have years of experience. Just slightly comparing him to Michael Ball you can see why we were skeptical. but I'm honestly so happy/proud of Nick, that he was able to pull it off at a good standard. A Little Fall of Rain always makes me cry, so no doubt I'll be a bubbling mess tomorrow. :P

What the fuck are you talking about? Nick's only 17 years old. Joe moved out when he was what, 20? And so what if Papa J wanted to be with Nick in England and watch him rehearse for Les Mis? He has every right to. Joe was doing his little vacations just for fun. Nick is doing it for work.
And people didn't buy his album because it's not the usual pop crap you always hear on the radio. Nick will be respected in the music industry because of that.

Seriously? I see a development in Nick's writing all the time. London foolishy has a much more advanced melody and lyrics than some of his other stuff and it was only written a year or so after. I don't think there is any way to belittle his talent

Well, I decided to read your little novel here cause it caught my attention. But, I'm sure he does take care of himself. He seems healthy. But Nick hardly takes vacations unless it's a family vacation. Other than that he works. Like that one time when Nick was recording songs for Who I Am and Joe was out on vacation.
