Taylor Swift updated her Myspace blog: So.. I know this isn't newsworthy.. But I have no one else to tell this to. I'm sitting on my bed, and my cat is sitting next to me SNORING so loudly.. And I'm trying not to laugh, because I'll wake her up. It's so awesome though. You just don't expect little cats to snore like that.

Periodically, she'll have weird dreams where she's running through a field or something (I have no idea what cats actually dream about, this is just a theory)... So then she's snoring AND twitching and moving her legs.. It's hilarious. I tried to call Abigail so she could hear it, but she's off at college is probably studying or doing something cooler than watching a cat snore.

Anyway, that reminds me of something that really IS newsworthy.. Something I've been dreaming about and hoping for and wishing for years.. I just found out that I get to play on Saturday Night Live!! January 10th! It's my mom's birthday, and I don't think either of us would've believed you if you would've told us a few years ago that we'd get to spend her birthday in New York City--- at Saturday Night Live! Wow. It's pretty unreal.

Everyone's suffering because of the current state of the economy, so I try to be as conscious of that as possible when I make decisions. I'm in the process of designing a line of sundresses for L.E.I., so be sold exclusively as Wal-Mart. Dresses are what I wear most, so I'm really excited for them to come out!

On making is the music business: I think the 'just getting out there' concept is a good one. You can't look at like 'I'm going to get discovered tonight, I just know it.' You have to look at every little show you play as practice for the big game.

Thinking 'big picture' is important, or else you'll get discouraged and frustrated really fast. With every show you play, you hone your skills. I focused on my songwriting and signed a publishing deal when I was fourteen.

I moved to Nashville and just tried to meet as many people as possible. You work your way up. Very seldom do you get 'discovered' without  meeting a LOT of people and going down a lot of dead end roads first.'

On auditioning for a boy's part in the school play: 'All these guys lined up to audition and at the end of the line, there I am, auditioning for it because I didn't care. I was like, 'I will dress up like a guy, and I want to sing that song.' I had like a mustache, and we drew on eyebrows and put all my hair up in this hat, and I dressed like a guy and sang the solo.'

Trying to make it in Nashville: 'I walked into every single record label on Music Row. My mom would park the rental car outside the label and wait, and I would run in my little demo CD and walk up to the receptionist and say, 'Hi, I'm Taylor, I'm 11, I want a record deal, call me.'

Taylor Swift had her wisdom teeth extracted. New blog: So I'm laying in bed, half asleep. I got my wisdom teeth taken out the day before yesterday, and I'm feeeeling it. Yeah. It's forcing me to sit still for a few days, which I probably needed. Caitlin, Grant, and Paul (my band mates) are on their way
over to keep me company. Yayyy.

I had my birthday party/end of the year party/Christmas party on the 13th.. My entire band and crew came out to the house and honestly, it was the best birthday I've ever had. Everyone was all dressed up and the house was decorated for Christmas and everyone was so happy.

We played all these games, one where each person gets to pick a present from under the tree and you can choose to steal presents from other people. Then there was the ping pong competition, which was pretty hardcore..

Taylor Swift covers the new issue of Your Prom magazine, on newsstands Dec. 30. Tay revealed that her dream date is Chace Crawford, she is 'addicted to proms' and had her first kiss at age 15. Check out her prom pictures with ex-boyfriend here!

Taylor Swift revealed to Tiger Beat that seeing her crush around school used
to make her feel like crying. 'The guy I liked never noticed me. I ran into this problem a lot in junior high.

I always feel for the guys who only liked popular girls. I got sad that my crush didn't like me back. It was that frustration that inspired me to write my songs.'

Advice on how to snag a boy: 'I think the best thing is to not come right out and tell your crush you like him. Place little hints. Go up and talk to him, but never chase a boy. It's their least favorite thing.'

On the best song she's ever written: 'I wrote the song '15' about what my best friend Abigail and I went through during our freshman year in high school. We both had our first boyfriends, she got her heart broke, and I broke up with my boyfriend to follow my dreams.'
